TeleCollector

Telephone Remote Monitoring Service

TeleCollector is Client Discovery's basic telephone remote monitoring service. This service captures detailed telephone traffic information from a multitude of remote sites. The raw, unformatted data can be downloaded electronically or sent via email. This service is commonly used by enterprises that prefer to process the raw data in their own Information Technology (IT) department. Some Client Discovery customers using this service are AT&T, Social Security Administration, Ryder Trucks, and Enterprise Leasing.

How Does It Work?

the Scout caller id unitWe use a small proprietary device, the Scout, to gather detailed telephone traffic data. The Scout captures information on all incoming and outgoing telephone traffic, including Caller ID.

Every night the computers at our Data Center automatically download the telephone data from your remotely located Scout unit. The data is sorted, indexed and verified. The next morning it is available via your password-protected private account on the Client Discovery web site, or delivered to you via e-mail.

What telephone traffic information is provided?

For inbound calls the Scout captures:

  • Date and time of the call
  • Caller ID number
  • Caller ID name
  • Number of rings before the call is answered
  • Duration of the call
  • Phone line on which the call arrived
  • Additional DTMF digits dialed after answer
  • Distinctive ring pattern
  • City and state of the caller

For outbound calls the Scout captures:

  • Date and time of phone call
  • Phone number dialed
  • Duration of the call
  • Phone line number used to make call
  • Extra DTMF digits pressed after connection
  • City and state of phone number dialed
